World Oceans Day is on June 8th, 2017. This day is a world wide celebration of the oceans. This year’s theme is “Our Oceans, Our Future”. Do you know that every second breath you take comes from the ocean?
To celebrate this, Fish Eye Project Co-Founders, Mike and Maeva, will be giving a talk for classrooms online via Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants platform. Join us online on June 8th, 2017, at 12 pm (Pacific Time) or 3 pm (Eastern). More information on their website here.
Here in Victoria, Canada, there are events going on over many days to celebrate this important day. Like past years, Fish Eye Project will be participating in the World Oceans Day event held at Fisherman's Wharf on Sunday, June 11th, 2017 from 11 - 4 pm (Pacific Time). Visit the Facebook Event Page for more details.
Come join in some interactive and engaging activities on the wharf with us! We will be doing TWO live dives to explore the marine life growing on artificial reefs (float homes)! The first at 12 noon and the second at 2 pm (Pacific time). We'll be there from 11 am - 4 pm, so come say "hi"!
